WILL SMITH

Will Smith Will is a 2002 dark bay Weltmeyer gelding that ran his first Intermediate at Morven Park in October 2009. Will is owned by the Hansen family, who imported him from Germany initially as a resale project. After being a little "difficult", the Hansen’s sent Will to Danny to try eventing in an effort to find a job that Will would like. Will’s amazing movement and powerful jump have given him a great start in the eventing world. At competitions Will’s ‘star-like’ presence quickly forms a group of fans all eager to know what time ‘Will Smith’ competes.

Every morning Will is the first to greet you in the barn and alert the others that you have arrived. He is extremely attentive to his surroundings and loves his normal routine which has allowed him to become more secure in himself.

CLASSICO Z

Stinky is a 2005 grey Holsteiner/TB gelding, owned by Stephanie Morrongiello who is a three day event rider as well. Steph bought Stinky when he was 2yrs old and asked Danny help her start him under tack. As Stinky progressed with his training, they both realized that this little horse had a lot to offer. His laid back attitude, steady movement, and ‘spring- like’ jump, gives Danny and Steph encouragement that he truly is a special athlete.

Stinky started his eventing career in June of 2009 and qualified and competed at the AEC’s in Sept. 2009 making that his fifth competition to date. He thought nothing of the busy championship atmosphere and saw it no different then the unrecognized starter horse trial he did just months before!

SARATOGA

Saratoga is a 2004 bay TB gelding that is extremely well bred for racing but wasn’t as fast as they had hoped on the track. Saratoga is owned by Jim Lewis. Jim primarily owns racehorses across the country and this is his first time owning an event horse! Saratoga’s stallion like presence, great confirmation, and solid temperament lead to his bravery cross country which makes him a good 3-Day candidate.

Saratoga is a character around the barn. His playful antics keep everyone on their toes. Danny finds these jesters amusing and turns them into a game and plays with him, which is a crowd pleaser!

REGALIO

Reggie is a 2003 Dutch WB bay gelding by R. Johnson out of Grande Gala. Reggie is owned and bred by Susan Neilson who currently competes Reggie’s mother, Gala, in dressage. Danny came across Reggie in a clinic one winter and inquired to Sue about giving him a chance at eventing. Sue agreed and Reggie came to live in MD to be a part of Warrington Eventing. Danny originally noticed Reggie’s elastic movement and athletic jump and recognized that these qualities were perfect for an upper level event horse. Reggie ran his first prelim at Morven Park in October 2009; he will continue to build on his foundation at the prelim level in 2010.

Reggie is the entertainer of the barn; he constantly is coming up with new tricks to keep you guessing his next move. We think of him as a genius…he needs to have a lot of mental stimulation throughout the day to get a good nights sleep!
