MARCH 24/25 2012~~LINDA ZANG is Coming to Fulshear Equestrian Center!!

*****DATE CHANGE*****Linda is teaching at Fulshear Equestrian Center on March 24th and 25th 2012~~ Don't miss this exciting opportunity to ride with an 'O' dressage judge! All Lessons are private lessons, limited to 8 per a day. Auditors are welcome.

Linda Zang of Idlewilde Farm in Davidsonville, Maryland, has represented the United States as a dressage competitor at the 1978 World Championships, the 1979 Pan-American Games and the 1980 Alternate Olympics at Goodwood, England.

She has been an FEI judge since 1985, achieved her “O” status in 1995, and is currently one of only four “O” judges in this country and twenty in the world. “O” judges are qualified to judge various levels of international competition, including World Championships and the Olympics. She has judged eight World Cup Finals, including the 2009 finals in Las Vagas and the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg. Additionally, Linda was chairman of the ground jury for the dressage portion of the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.

Linda’s accomplishments as a rider as well as a judge led to her induction into the USDF Hall of Fame in 2009. Linda likes to engage her audience while teaching, which makes for a fun and enriching learning experience. She is a huge resource on what judges are looking for and the direction that dressage in the U.S. is heading.

Fulshear Equestrian Center Announces Danny Warrington as Head Trainer

Fulshear Equestrian Center brings Advanced-level Eventer and Trainer to their facilities in Southeast Texas

Fair Hill, MD - October 10th, 2011-Advanced-level eventer and trainer Danny Warrington announces a unique opportunity to train and board in Southeast Texas at Fulshear Equestrian Center.

Fulshear Equestrian Center is located at Canaan Ranch on a gorgeous 80-acre farm in rural Fulshear, Texas. It is a 31- stall facility with a large indoor arena and heated viewing room, large outdoor sand arena, large outdoor grass arena, indoor round pen, equicizer machine, paddocks with run-in sheds, irrigation, cross-country course, miles of bridle paths, and ride-out options.

"The facility is absolutely top-notch. The Equestrian Center and the amenities it offers is something you dream about. Fortunately, it has become a reality. It offers everything you can think of in order to make training horses a luxury," Warrington said.

The Fulshear Equestrian Center is an ideal location to escape from the harsh winters in the Mid- Atlantic. It enables the training of the horse to continue without the weather-induced barriers the Mid-Atlantic winters bring. The average temperature of the winters in Fulshear,TX is mid 50's to 60's.

"When building the Equestrian Center, we put a strong focus on the quality of the facility rather than the quantity in order to create a top-of-the line training center, rather than simply a boarding barn. The facilities and amenities that the center offers are extremely conducive to training horses year-round," says Fulshear Equestrian Center owner, Kelly Stanka.

The Equestrian Center is located in close proximity to Houston and San Antonio where schooling jumper shows, combined tests, and dressage shows are readily available.

Danny Warrington will be at Fulshear Equestrian Center full-time from November 1st through April 15th. He will be available for teaching, training, and clinics throughout his extended stay. He will head back to the East Coast in April to compete and train from his home location in Fair Hill, Maryland. However, Warrington will return to Texas once a month from May to November to continue teaching and training with his clients on the Gulf Coast.

"One of the biggest benefits of wintering at the Fulshear Equestrian Center in Texas rather than wintering in the Southeast is you are much more able to focus on the complete training of the horse rather than having to be caught up in the high pressure environment of the Southeast. The focus is entirely on the horses and the students and less on what the other advanced-level trainers are doing next door," says Warrington.

2010-2011 Winter Plans

We are going to Texas for the winter!!!! Our plan is to depart after Thanksgiving and return home some time in April. Will Smith, Classico Z, Saratoga, Guiness St. James and a sale project named Monkey, will all be making the journey southwest. Three other horses are tentatively scheduled to join us and are working out trip details.

It is great having friends and clients located throughout the country; this comes in handy when long trips are being planned. 12 hours to GA to stay at Jacel Galloway’s farm and teach a couple lessons while in GA. Then the last 12 hours to Kelly and Josh Stanka’s farm in Fulshear, TX.

Our training program will be based in Fulshear, while teaching lessons on the farm, offering horse sales as well as traveling off the farm for clinics. Danny will also be coming home to MD teach once a month throughout the winter, keep checking the website for the list of weekends.

We are very excited about our new winter plan!!
